The Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology and our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products and next-generation technologies that transform the customer experience. About the Team / Role: We are looking for a dedicated and passionate GIS Engineer to join the Connect Tools Engineering team. The GIS Engineer role will specialize in building and scaling high-performance applications for Connect GIS Tools engineering team. Additionally, this role focuses on the development and maintenance of geospatial software solutions built on Esri's ArcGIS Platform. We practice Agile/Scrum methodology and develop a variety of products and services built with a diverse set of technologies. As a GIS Engineer and Admin on the CONNECT Tools GIS team, you will be part of a team that is building tools to support the next generation access network that will deliver the services of the future to our customers. This GIS Systems Admin role focuses on the deployment, administration and maintenance of the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise Platform and internally developed geospatial software solutions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Administration and maintenance of the enterprise GIS delivery framework architecture, supporting web applications, spatial databases, GIS servers, mobile solutions, and reporting and analysis interfaces.

Work closely with the Infrastructure team to ensure GIS platform alignment with enterprise architecture and security requirements.

Coordinates design activities with other Developers to ensure project adheres to project specifications and provides Supervisor and/or Project Manager with level of effort estimations, milestone timelines and periodic status updates.

Develops deployment software and application administration software as well as creates deployment and application support documentation.

Provides expertise in more than one functional area of technology and provides architecture and design solutions for new applications or application enhancements.

Writes application code, develops user interfaces, develops unit test cases and harnesses; creates design, interface, system and user documentation; tests software and interfaces, supports end-to-end and performance testing and performs other tasks needed to complete projects.

Skills and Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with 5 years professional experience.

Experience with one or more cloud-based platforms.

Experience with scripting languages: Javascript, Python.

Experience working with automated web application testing tools such as Selenium.

Experience with monitoring and logging systems such as Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana

Works well in team environments and demonstrates a 'can do attitude'.

Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork and communications.

Exceptionally good at problem analyzing, solving, and troubleshooting, with a high attention to detail.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, contractors, and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience installing, configuring, and administering the Esri Enterprise GIS Platform and extensions including enterprise geodatabases, ArcGIS Server, and Portal for ArcGIS.

Experience in configuring and supporting the technology and applications available in the development environments of the Esri Enterprise Platforms, i.e ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, Dashboard, Experience Builder

Pay Range: This job can be performed in Denver Campus, with a Pay Range of $101,802.09 USD - $152,703.13 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
